Essential.

Everyones heard of the famous BBC1 Essential mix hosted by legendary DJ Pete 'All Gone' Tong. Famous for bringing the "worlds best dj's" to his show for a 2hr mix of usually well laid out tunes, regardless of the genre. This one is no different. . .

Black Milk

Massive Attack. The perfect music to listen to in this cold and shitty weather. This track in particular has a real cold feeling to it, so I thought it was suitable for this weeks classic, do you agree?

3

Feature Artists.

This week I'm going to post 3 tracks by 3 different artist across Australia. All artist are young and making raw & incredible forward thinking music, that could easily appeal to a commercialised audience. I found them recently and thought I would honour a growing scene in Australia and hope people jump on the bandwagon and spread the love. There's nothing better than finding a great song by a new artist!

1. Joe Macc - Afro Dizzy Act (2013 Remaster)
A local dude from Perth, who I haven't seen yet on a bill! His productions are clean and crisp and can be closely related to Disclosure. Support local talent  >  >  >

2. Saul Sweet - By Your Side
A 20yr old Producer from BrisVegas making deep, hollow and feel good music. His music is very easy to listen to and has a really chilled vibe about it, perfect for a cold winters day. His remix of the new Flight Facilities song 'I Didn't Believe' is seriously up there with the best, if you don't believe me go see for yourself  >  >  >

3. Laces - What I Need, I Never Knew
Laces is another Dj/Producer from Brisbane gaining a lot of exposure through his edit/mash-ups and dj mixes. More of the grungy club side of deep house, I have a feeling this guy is only going to grow! Jump on now >  >  >

Monday 15 July 2013

I rest my case.

You have to hear it to believe it, well not really. I mean most house music sounds the same, but in my opinion the drum patters and the general groove of a 'real' house song is what gives it so much meaning. Most people don't know the difference, I never did until my travels to europe however I never liked this 'EDM' thing to begin with and this 1min mix proves how soulless, borning and just how shit most peoples musical taste is with all these 16 tracks featuring in Beatports top 100.There is always good in everything, however the deeper I delve into deep house / disco / techno the harder I find it to listen to this over hyped noise. I did this blog to expose people to a scene that will grow in time and I sure as hell hope it does. Here's my joke for the day. . .  Sorry

To not leave on a negative not, here's a Trap song or maybe some other sub-genre, I can't really keep up these days but this is class. I'm not sure what sounds these Ta-Ku, Flume, Baauer, Hudson Mowhawke and the likes are making or what specific genre they are but I love mixing different shit up and this next song is a classic example of why this Baauer dude is as big as he is. Remixing the popular female singer / songwriter AlunaGeorge this is fucking classic and is sure to make even these so called house 'purist' get off their neg asses and dance or at least bop their heads ; )

Comfort

This 25yr old Producer is rising the ranks of house music with her low - slung productions that have definite commercial viability without taking anything away from her underground roots. Her debut album 'Comfort' dropped earlier this month and is sure to be one the best albums of the year (in my opinion). Her hit 'Everything' is already getting massive airtime on JJJ and I hope the rise of this girl can bring her over to our shores for more shows. Here's another song from the album you may of not heard yet. . .

Burning Bright feat. Kim Ann Foxman

Classic Wednesdayz.

Because it's winter here in Perth as has been raining quite heavily lately, this songs title suits the time. Done by the king of house music back in the day Frankie Knuckles, can tell this song would of been an absolute hit back in the 90's when house was first thriving.

"Don't you wanna get wet?"

If your girl only knew...

This song ♥.
Just another song sampling the vocals from the famous RnB track Aaliyah - If your girl only knew. Many house tracks have used this, most notably Finnebassen's take, however I believe this Tourist version is the best. A soft Pop flavoured Garage track that's perfect for a monday, nice progressive synths and funky drum patterns, the famous vocals of Aaliyah, couldn't and didn't go wrong!

FryDay Boiler

This guy > > > DETROIT SWINDLE
Is absolutely killing it right now with his A class funky minimal house music. Here's his recent Boiler Room set to get you head bopping before this weekends popping.

Another Love.

Not really a party starter song to get you prepped for the weekend but an absolute magical song remixed by Zwette (another German electronic music producer), who chooses very wisely to remix chilled indie / acoustic songs and makes them his own. This one is a perfect example > > >

MarilynOizo

Always loved Mr. Oizo  direction in music, real electro french underground goodness. Now he's stepped it up with the controversial queen of everything MARILYN MANSON. Fucking banger of a tune in which i'm sure will bring very mixed reviews haha

Feature Artist.

Toyboy & Robin

Toyboy & Robin (fairly close to their actual names, FYI) have always been difficult to place. Picking up on the tattered, knackered remnants of 4/4 the duo also have a love of bass weight.
Recently, though, the pair have been hardening, placing an emphasis on a tech edge in their productions. New cut 'Jaded' is a blistering return, all frenetic tempos, flailing hi hats and skittering vocal samples.
It's euphoric - anything in the house universe will be - but there's a head down sense of drive here. This is city music, only Toyboy & Robin have swapped the froth of late 80s Chicago for the day to day grime of London in 2013
Check out their sweet production >  >  >

i.Am suing you.

I find this absolutely ridiculous and hypercritical. . .

Will.i.am, one of the judges on BBC talent show The Voice, is suing fellow US pop music star Pharrell Williams over his use of the phrase “I am” .

Mr Williams set up his own “i am OTHER” brand to promote talent online and said he was searching for a “diverse group of optimistic, bright minds”.
But Will.i.am, real name William James Adams, took exception and filed a lawsuit claiming that he owns the copyright to the phrase “I AM” and that Pharrell's logo is “confusingly similar” to his “i.am+” iPhone camera add-on, according to court documents.
The “registration of the mark.. is likely to dilute the I AM mark and the will.i.am mark”, the documents claim.
Pharrell Williams told Rolling Stone magazine: “I am disappointed that Will, a fellow artist, would file a case against me. I am someone who likes to talk things out and, in fact, I attempted to do just that on many occasions.
”I am surprised in how this is being handled and I am confident that Will's trademark claims will ultimately be found to be as meritless and ridiculous as I do.“
Will.i.am, founder of the hip hop band The Black Eyed Peas, has recently faced accusations of copyright infringement himself after producers Arty and Mat Zo accused him of sampling their song “Rebound” without their permission on his latest recording with singer Chris Brown.

Classic Wednesdays.

Good fucking morning!!! Some classic old house music from 1992 today, has a kinda acid feel to it but a very forward thinking song for it's time. The Club Dub mix by Ceybil - Love So Special

Also because I missed last week (again) I want to dedicate a song to Empire Of The Sun for releasing their highly anticipated second album 'Ice On The Dune'. I have always loved these two guys, they make cool indie/pop music and their creative direction and live performances done mainly by Luke Steele (The Sleepy Jacksons) is something I admire. This classic track is a remix from local producer Shazam, who I haven't heard much from as of late, hopefully he's whipping up more songs or remixes like this  >  >  >

This Will Destroy You

The sixth record by Kanye West #Yeezus dropped today, a very energetic and abrasive album that you would come to expect from the outspoken man. Features collabs from Daft Punk to Bon Iver and all artists in between (can't be fucked naming). I wouldn't call it a Hip Hop album but more a pop record. As much as I would love to hate Mr. West, he is an entertainer at heart and probably one of the most talented people in the biz today. He continually makes headlines and continually sells records to a very wide spread audience. Hats off to the dude who is really just a gay fish!

This post was not even supposed to be about him but thats what he does, just somehow squeezes his way into things!!! Anyway . . . This Will Destroy You is not referring to Kanye or his new record at all, instead a band named This Will Destroy You. The perfect band to listen to if you want to just relax and reflect or whatever, the band makes real atmospheric type rock music with minimal to yet no vocals. Perfect for a rather cold Tuesday night in bed, have a listen . . .

Torren Foot

After listening to Amine Edge & DANCE's set at Panorama Bar, which by the way is probably the most banging ghetto flavoured deep-house music iv'e heard (G-House), I came across many great new tracks, most I can't find anywhere but luckily I managed to find this one  >  >  >

Found out it's a fellow Aussie from Melbourne. Always good to hear Australian producers/Dj's making their way internationally. Make sure you check 'Torren Foot' out. Some solid productions on his sound cloud, from originals to classic remixes, he ranges from deep to minimal with an electro flavour to all his tracks.

Below is Amine Edge & Dance's set at Panorama Bar (Berghain). A must download!!

Classics

Because I missed last weeks through a bad case of bothered-ness I'm delivering two tonight. These two tracks are reasonably new compared to what I usually post, but a classic doesn't have to be old does it?? I'm posting these selected tracks because their probably the 2 tracks that converted me from my dub step/glitch phase to 'real' dance music. Hearing 'Need In Me' at club Watergate in Berlin was probably the game changer (before my time in Ibiza). One a banger and one very soothing, both are absolute classics, both with nice female vocals, both fucking ripping tunes!!

Flashmob - Need In Me

Larse - So Long

Terrible Tuesday.

A horrible day today after such big WA day long weekend. A lot of gigs around Perth, one of which I went to Breach & Route 94 @ Gilkinson's for Next Hype. I'm not to sure what happened that night but Next Hype have previously thrown some epic parties and with Breach & the mysterious Route 94 on the bill you would think it would be another night to remember, sadly it wasn't. Both average sets to an average crowd with no real lighting effects, I really felt let down. Anyway just an opinion, still won't stop me loving the two artists and Next Hype as their the ones bringing in some quality acts to such a remote city. Here's some songs ive discovered recently that got me through the Terrible Tuesday  >  >  >

Midlands Dusky Drop

"My Way" (featuring Joe Dukie of Fat Freddies Drop) is the second official single from the debut album 'Getting Closer' by CLOSE, a new production alias from producer, DJ and label owner Will Saul.
"For me Joe Dukie has one of the best voices on the planet so it was a bit of dream come true to get to work with him. I worked with Fink in his studio in Brighton where we recorded his band (drummer and bass player) - the instrumental is all live and one take. We then sent this over to Dallas (Joe Dukie) and he sent back his vocals. Midland and Dusky are part of my core crew at Aus and really hitting their stride at the moment so natural choices for remixers for this single" CLOSE

Classic Wednesdays.

This weeks classic is a beautiful, dark and well produced deep house song released on one of my favourite labels Life And Death recs. The song is a bit of a downer and is certainly no banger but a real soothing house tune nonetheless, with amazing sounds and vocals. Chillout and listen to > > >

Pillowtalk - Soft (Life and Death Remix)

Thursday 16 May 2013

Feature Artist.

Hailing from the Sunny city of Manchester (jokes) Bipolar Sunshine aka Adio Marchant is a very soulful hip hop artist that has completely won me over with his soft-spoken soothing voice. I honestly don't think this dude is getting the reception he deserves. . . it's hard to pin-point exactly what sort of music he's going for but if you like the sounds of the XX / SBTRKT / Nicolas Jarr type production with a Seal sounding voice over the top, then Bipolar Sunshine is your man. Follow him on facebook for updates on releases, I believe an album is coming out in June. Happy Friday : ) > > >

Sacrifice

Simian Mobile Disco and Bicep have teamed up to produce this outstanding new techno track. This will be released on the Delicacies label (owned by Simian Mobile Disco) digitally on 24/06/13 and on vinyl a week or two earlier.

Classic Access Memories

With Daft Punk's new album Random Access Memories dropping in only a few days I think it makes sense to dedicate this weeks classic to the most influential group in electronic music. The track I have chosen is one off their 3rd Studio Album 'Human After All', I believe after streaming their new album the duo are Human After All hehe. Ive only heard 'RAM' once over, it's a very well produced analog album with various guests from the nerd Pharrell Williams to the Strokes Julian Casablancas, you can definitely tell the duo made an album with a more 'live' feel to it, exactly what they planned to do. A lot of people say they have turned to 'cheese' as such, but those idiots clearly don't know what their talking about because Daft Punk have always made commercialised house (Around The World, Digital Love, One More Time, Technologic etc etc) and I love them for it! The duo aren't sell outs, they have progressed in time, R.A.M is the most anticipated album of the year and off first listen Daft Punk have made me fall in love with them once more. . .

Classic.

This week's classic isn't a song, rather a mix of songs put together by one of my favourite aussie acts Flight Facilities. The indie-electro duo from Sydney have really made their mark on the scene and rightfully so, with Clair Du Lune finishing #17 in the Triple J Hottest 100 last year (I thought it would do much higher) and previous hits like Crave You and Foreign Language finishing in the top 100 in previous years. However i'm not here to talk about their production as such, rather about their recent decade mixes that they've been doing,  starting from 1982 -1992 to 2002-2012. All absolute  belter mixes with classics all through them. Listen to the latest one for more recognisable tunes ; )

Ohh and their playing at the Bakery Saturday night, sold out but. . .

She's Back

My favourite female producer at the moment Maya Jane Coles is back with her 2nd BBC RadioOne Essential mix within just over a year.  Maya certainly let's her music do the talking and won't need a photo in a bath to get me to download this one.

Not sure why i'm putting this song in here, has no reference to Maya what so ever, Ive just have been hooked on Plezier ever since his release of Plezier Anthem. If you haven't heard of him or his music yet, it's very much garage / bass music but very easy to listen to. Here's his new on On Time > > >

HOME A DELUXE

Rudimental - Home

This blog is mainly about 4x4 and hip-hop but to be so narrow minded and not appreciate good music outside of that, then your obviously kidding yourself. There are so many sub-genres and shit out there these days but there is always some good amongst this and coming from a D'n'B background I really appreciate this album. Rudimental are all class, mixing their styles from Deep House / D'n'B / R & B and doing it so well that all their pre-released Ep's smashed the UK charts and so it should. This album contains so much soul & funk that it's must have in 2013, and very much could be the album of the year. Do your ears a favour and buy this record, there is a song in there for everyone. . .

Classic Wednesday on a Thursday

Ok so I have been really bad with this as of late with my lack of posts but today your in for a treat. I'm going to be posting 3 classic songs today. . . Here they are  >  >  >

With Anzac day gone (last Wednesday) I feel bad for not only not posting a classic track but for not acknowledging our fallen solder's, something we all should do. I think it's really crazy that something like that even happened and we should all consider ourselves lucky for not living in a time like that and having the freedom to attend techno raves mid-week instead of facing off at oppositions military. . . anyway last wednesday saw The Likes Of You host Ben Klock (Berghain Resident) and Derrick May (Techno founding father) at Capitol. I didn't go but from what I heard I seriously regret not going, so the first Classic track i'm going to post is by the man himself, a song with such a uplifting piano riff that definitely makes me want to dance. . .

Derrick May - Strings Of Life

Next track is one I just heard recently and not too old compared to what I have been previously posting however it contains an old sample by Eurythmics which was made in 1983 and has been used by many artists including the famous and controversial Marilyn Manson. This cover is a lot different to Manson's cover (obviously) a cover that would be very easy to sing and dance a long to, I could see this one being an absolute ripper of a track to hear at a festival. Sweet Dreams x x x

Stereo Express - Sweet Dreams

Last but not least some Hip Hop, a classic funky old school track thats been sugar coated by Sugar Bear. Great hump day song DONT STEAL OUR RHYMES  >  >  >

Sugar Bear - Don't Scandalize Mine

Feature Artist.

Jacob Bech

Having recently worked with Aki Bergen on a spectacular release on Neurotraxx Gold, Copenhagen based producer and DJ Jacob Bech has now released an EP with deep house label Large Music. All 3 Tracks are some of the most grooving deep house i've ever heard, nothing heavy but nothing too emotional just fun for everyone!

Purists.

Dj Sneak the man who is renowned for 'speaking his mind' has recently dished out against Seth Troxler (Visionquests main man), a Dj he brushes shoulders with around parties like Circo Loco and the likes. In the past I have supported Sneak's 'outings' against 4x4 crimes to the likes of SHM, Guetta and the EDM scene but Troxler I don't support. Troxler, who recently took out the best Dj in the ResidentAdvisor polls (a Dj poll with actual talent) has been labelled a 'Ketamine hyped Dj' - "your a trend soon to be forgotten by a new one coming" according to Sneak, all for a picture of Troxler sitting in a bath with a horse next to him (above picture). In my opinion though, Sneak is trying to get attention and should maybe start releasing quality records and stop living in the past. Sneak recently got outed by Circo Loco's Ibiza schedule, an event Sneaks had a lot to do with over the years, so maybe your a trend that's going??? Sneak recently has made a brand (in which I support) 'I'm A House Gangster', a brand dedicated to those purist of House music, something Troxler can relate with Sneak to. I feel Sneak's popularity is fading and as much as I'm a fan of his music, his ego fucking shits me. To be labelled a 'Ketamine Hyped Dj' would mean fuck all to Troxler and so what if he is? Drugs have played a massive part in the birth of House music and it will continue now and into future. By Sneak outing Troxler for such a ridiculous reason, then maybe he should out the whole history of house and all the classic songs referring to such drugs as Ecstasy and Acid, maybe even rule out Acid House, I'm not sure but maybe stop living in the past and trying to gain popularity by bitching and start focusing more on the music, so all the boys and girls who take drugs and come to your shows can enjoy themselves, because thats what it's all about!

Settle

Here's the video of Disclosure's new single 'You & I', I'm really looking forward to the album 'Settle' dropping early June. Show your support for good music and pre-order your copy today http://www.disclosureofficial.com

Moonwalkdjs

This weeks feature artists are Moonwalk. Hailing from Naples in Italy Mauro Morabello Morabito (one name) & Dario Vizioli aka Moonwalk came into existence in 2012 with their single 'Girl For You', a groovy 80's inspired disco track with a very deep feel to it. The duo take great inspiration from modern electronica and obviously old - school disco to give you a soulful modern sound they label 'Cosmic Vintage', which has caught the attention of some big guns including the king of Deep House atm Solomun. It will never be too late but jump on board now, because this horse will grow!

Classic Wednesday.

Todays classic is probably my favourite so far,  I heard this a few years ago back when Diplo did his BBC Radio One essential mix and luckily came across it yesterday while shopping in a famous Berlin  record store. Released on Boarder Community recordings in 2006 you wouldn't call this a 'banger' by no means, however this track will live on by its raw production thats built around a minimal - techno melody mixed with electro / dubstep like noises. Please do yourself a favour and listen to this . . .

Petter - Some Polyphony

p.s. Also check out the James Holden remix

Thursday 4 April 2013

Duke Dumont.

Loving this guys tunes atm. This is how pop music should sound like, grooving house with nice female vocals to compliment it. I honestly don't see whats appealing about banging electro music with Pitbull rapping over the top. Anyway have a listen to Dukes latest remix of Haim - Falling. . . A M A Z I N G!

Bambounou.

Is a young emerging Persian artist from France that recently signed to Modeselektor's 50 Weapons imprint and ClekClekBoom. An artist I quite admire as it's hard to pinpoint his style, most of his tracks have a techno sound to it but mixed with vintage house vocals and juke like percussions (nu-techno?). A crossover Dubstep-Techno producer on the rise (which further indicates that Dubstep is on the way out),  if your fan of UK Garage music than this dude won't disappoint. Follow him on Soundcloud to keep up with his productions, this weeks new flavour is. . . Bambounou

Todays The Day

Classic Wednesday.

Pete Rock & CL Smooth - They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.) is a song released in 1992 in tribute of their (Pete Rock & CL Smooth) friend Troy Dixon (better known as "Trouble" T Roy of Heavy D & the Boyz). Pete Rock & CL Smooth were known for their uniquely soulful sound they brought to the table of Hip Hop and T.R.O.Y was no different, featuring clever samples from Tom Scott, Jefferson Airplane and The beggining of the end. I suggest you look these artist up if you need inspiration or are generally interested how samples are used because Pete Rock & Cl Smooth intelligently sampled snippets of each track (some hardly you would recognise) to write in my opinion one of the greatest hip hop tunes ever. Other famous artist have done cover versions or sampled parts of this track to make their own, including Mary J. Blige and Lupe Fiasco as of late with 'Round My Way' (Freedom Isn't Free). There has been many legal disputes over the samples used, but to me it's just genius. Have a listen and enjoy.

And to all the House Heads > > > here's a classic house remix of Mary J. Blige - Reminisce using the same sample by Tom Scott that Pete Rock & Cl Smooth used.

L.O.V.E.

In the short time this blog has been up and running I have posted about many things, mainly to do with underground house music of course, but I have had some negative criticism as of late. I preach too much hate (apparently). I suppose that's true. I don't see how you can't with so much garbage music around, especially in the edm realm, however I do believe this is so. My aim in this blog is to convert as  many people as possible to the music I preach, however sadly most people listen to shit but can I help that??, I'll try! So i'm going to stop picking on the mainstream morons and highlighting the shit music out there because anyone that follows this blog (which has now reached over 1500 views : )!!!)  i'm sure wouldn't listen to that electro mash-up crap anyway. So from now on it's all about the LOVE and about promoting as much good music out there as I possibly can. So here's a sex flavoured mix by Ben Pearce the artist behind the Deep House hit What I Might Do, I thought that this may suit the theme.    > > >

Classic Wednesdays...

Apparently, I have been living under a rock because I haven't heard the news that Daft Punk will be releasing a new album later this year. The duo have had some time off after their last world tour (something I was lucky enough to attend) and now are back with a long awaited album, or are they. . . The leaks are not official, however the demo's and samples given sound a lot like their previous work and if thats something to go by, this one will be a classic! So I was going to post some of their old shit to make up this weeks classic but then on second thoughts, I decided to do something for smart, people who know this track will know what i'm on about. . . Le Knight Club - Hysteria. Le Knight Club is a duo from France consisting of (???), anyway its a French-House classic that is very very familiar to Daft Punk. Enjoy

Ohhh and here's a track from Daft Punks new album

Flavour Of The Week

From now on i'm going to start posting a 'Flavour Of The Week' article, that will promote a new underground artist that I hope will be fresh to your ears, but obviously I can't guarantee that. This will not be on the same day but will occur weekly. My aim is to try and promote new music, that's forward thinking & creative and obviously within the house genre that we all love. The first artist im going to share is a young producer out of Wolverhampton England > > > Polkadot https://soundcloud.com/polkadotmusic. Polkadot is 18-year old producer Sam Bevan from Wolverhampton and he's been gaining a lot of hype from his garage bass-driven orientation of electronic music, that can be very closely related to heavy weights Disclosure.  Here's a remix he's done of DrDr, another artist that could feature on this weekly segment.

Classic Wednesdays.

MUSIC IS THE ANSWER
TO YOUR PROBLEMS. . . ?
Maybe, it provides you with temporary relief thats for sure (providing its a good song) and when mixed with a few other things it can bring a whole lot a joy to your life, but it still may not solve your problems. But if there was going to be one song, that would keep me 'Dancin & Prancin' for as long as possible, and help for that time even remove all my problems, it would be this song. . .

Celeda - Music Is The Answer (Danny Tenaglia Remix)

Thanks to my Manchester mates for this one Xx

Why Make Sense?

It really seems the people of Perth are starting to appreciate good music, with a massive last few weeks of touring artists and this weekend was no different. With Julio Bashmore, T. Williams, Maribou State and Gold Panda playing for the Next Hype crew and Maiko bringing in another boat party with the Boogie king Lovebirds, you would have to be an idiot to miss one of these! Sadly this was me, not because I didn't want to but because money doesn't grow on tree's. Anyway this gave me some spare time to hunt down some new tunes, here's a fresh one from the leader and co-founder of 'OddFuture' -

♛ Tyler The Creator

And this other Gangstarr beat produced by the genre hopping Sinden. . .

Skreamizm.

SKREAM / / / Needs no introduction really, a pioneer in electronic music and one of the most prominent producers in Dubstep. He runs his own radio show along with Benga on BBC and has headlined countless music festivals and gigs around the globe under Skream and Magnetic Man. His music reflects his Garage / 2-Step background and although I mainly hate this faze called Dubstep, I still appreciate his music. One of his latest releases, that you can download for free on his Soundcloud is 'Kreepin'. A version of Finnebassen's take on Aaliyah 1996 hit single "If Your Girl Only Knew' only deeper and more bass heavy, and yes it's Deep House!!! To me this production along with his current mixtapes, show the direction in which electronic music is heading. . . far far away from Dubstep. To me Dubstep is very much fading away, with all these post-dubstep genres and other bullshit floating around, it looks like it's on the heavy decline. Not that i'm a complete hater of the genre, I just feel the over hype and this brostep like shit has killed what I believe used to be a pretty cool noise.

[UPDATE}

Skream producing this.... WOW!!

Classic Wednesdays.

Orginally released in 1997 on ice cream records, todays classic defines the genre of 'Speed Garage'. Apparently a Test by the 99 boys, they truly hit the jackpot with this track and influenced much of the scene. Earlier works had the same kind of feel but there's something in this track for everyone, whether the epic build up, the highs or lows, it's truly a masterpiece of it's time and regularly gets stuck on an oldskool or 2Step garage compilations. An absolute belter and funky garage track, todays classic is...

Double 99 - RIP Groove

Remixes can be found by Tam Truff, Tim Deluxe and Paul Hunter to name a few.

RIP DJ AJAX

Adrian Thomas (AJAX) was one of Australia's biggest dance music personalities. He was a hugely talented musician / deejay who ran his own label 'Sweat It Out' and was a part of the group 'Bang Gang Deejays', who were solely responsible for my passion in dance music now. Although his current music is not the main type featured in this blog, I still want to pay my respect for this man who bought French House (something I still love) to Australia and ripped it up at parties all around the country.

If you have never heard of AJAXplease download or buy this complication, it will change you!

Rest In ✌
