Techno

A genre I never used to be very fond of, until I stumbled (or flew) across a city that completely blew me away and opened my mind. A city renowned for it's history and edgy rebellious atmosphere, a city famed for it's arts, fashion & music. The home of Hitler for many years and the capital city of Germany, of course i'm talking about Berlin. Berlin is simply a city that has been heavily affected by its notorious history, something i'm not going to delve into but it's clearly evident if you visit. From symbolistic street art to raw fashion this place is the mecca for anyone into art, let alone music. The nightlife here is insane, coming from Perth clubs to Berlin clubs is a real eye & ear opener. Clubs tend filling up here around 2am and can go from Thursday night right through to Monday morning. They can be held in industrial like warehouses, to classy roof top bars, to even outdoor arenas all raving hard to generally one style of music, techno. The most famous club for this is Club Berghain/Panorama Bar, the temple of techno music. Given its reputation, Berghain draws a crowd from far and wide, but still retains a loyal crew of local aficionados. Many people have trouble getting in because of it's very strict door policy, one that's nothing like Australia's pointy shoes / collared shirt bullshit, instead the focus is more on not looking as 'posh' and generally being able to speak some German. Anyways the place is crazy, hosting International acts every weekend, and if your lucky enough to get in then you will experience what is widely known as 'the best clubbing scene in the world'. For those who don't, here's some real techno set's from the place itself.
Enjoy ϟ ϟ ϟ

Here's a picture of the door guy. . .
